Showing Plenty of Promise!
Under 9s continue to grow in skill and teamwork. Our youngest side continue to display great ball movement, game awareness and selflessness with their teammates and it is always done with plenty of smiles and great sportsmanship. Congratulations to recent award winners Nash, Cade, Flynn, Carter, Emily, Will, Beau and Chris.
Under 11s are absolutely flying! They continue to impress whether they come from behind to secure the win or hold off a fast-finishing opponent in a nail-biting finish. They play with heart and determination every single week and the weekly progress is outstanding. Even with the recent disappointment of an opponent forfeit this team looks to the silver lining and keeps their spirits high in anticipation of their next match. Recent award recipients include our little star Van, Lach, Jake, Ben, Jett and Ashton. This is a very exciting team to watch and we look forward to what the rest of the season holds for them.
Under 13s have also had a fantastic run. With mostly wins and just one heartbreaking last-minute loss this team shows real grit and determination. Each player always gives 100% and the teamwork and sportsmanship shown is just heartwarming to witness. Recent awards go to Matt, Harry, Dusty, Campbell and Flynn and a special mention to Emma for her recent best on ground award, she showed amazing speed and physicality.
Under 16s had a big test against division leaders, Mernda. It wasn’t our day on the scoreboard but they fought hard and never gave up, a true reflection of their character and growth as a team. These boys always show determination and even in tough games they view it as an opportunity to build resilience and develop their skills and strategies. The following week they played Kilmore under lights, this game was a massive step forward for the team and although we couldn’t secure the win our boys played with confidence, passion and purpose. We welcome new players River and Seth to the club and also congratulate recent awards winners Zac, Xavier, Lochaden and Vascoe.

We are proud to be part of the TAC Victoria/AFL Victoria #TACSloMo Campaign. By using incredible footy highlights in slow motion, we are delivering a serious message: Some things are better when they are slowed down – an incredible tackle or goal, or your drive on country roads. Distractions behind the wheel, especially mobile phones are one of the biggest risks on our roads. That is why we are asking our community to take the #TACSloMo message seriously. Every share, like and comment on our posts helps us raise awareness and secure vital funding for our club. This means more equipment, better facilities and safer roads for everyone. Stay tuned on our socials for slow-mo footy moments and don’t forget to slow down on the road!

This season we have had so many volunteers stepping up to assist the club. From match day officials, canteen helpers, team managers and coaches, there has been so many people volunteering their time and contributions and we would like to extend a shout out to all these helpers, the club really does rely on the efforts of volunteers and we appreciate every single one of you!
