SEASON 2027 AT A GLANCE
SEASON 2027 IS SHAPING UP TO BE HUGE!
A brand new home ground: we're back home at Kinglake Memorial Reserve on the newest oval in the NFNL. Be among the very first to pull on the boots and play on it. How exciting is that?!
Elite development: former AFL star Travis Cloke, a Collingwood premiership player and two-time All-Australian, joins the Lakers as our Development Coach in 2027. That's massive for our players and our coaches.
All juniors welcome: we're catering for all juniors aged 7 to 17.5.
Sunday footy: games are played on Sundays in the NFNL.
Transfers: coming from another club? Transfers also open on 1 November.
ELITE DEVELOPMENT
TRAVIS CLOKE JOINS THE LAKERS
We're incredibly excited to welcome former AFL star and highly experienced coach Travis Cloke to the Lakers as our Development Coach for 2027!
An outstanding playing career. Travis played 256 AFL games with Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs, including a Collingwood premiership and two All-Australian selections.
A wealth of coaching experience. Travis is currently Head Coach of the Oakleigh Chargers in the Coates Talent League. He has also been Head Coach of Essendon's VFLW side, AFLW Development Coach at Essendon, and a Development Coach with Collingwood's VFL program.
This is a tremendous opportunity for our players to grow their skills, build confidence, understand the game at a deeper level and continue their football journey. It's also a huge development opportunity for our coaches, strengthening the knowledge and support we can provide across our whole football program.
We can't wait to see the impact Travis will have in 2027. Please join us in giving him a huge LAKERS WELCOME!
We had huge demand last season, and we're expecting 2027 to be even bigger. Teams are capped at 24 players, so it's first in, best dressed. Get your registration sorted early, and grab the $100 early bird price before 30 November.
Whether you're a returning Laker or joining our green and gold family for the first time, there's a place for you at KJFC.
Great footy. Great mates. A great community. Go Lakers!
DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE!
GIRLS FOOTBALL 2027
Girls can play in our mixed teams up to U14.
We're also taking expressions of interest for girls-only teams in 2027. If your daughter is interested, fill in our expression of interest form and we'll keep you in the loop.
CONSIDER SUPPORTING OUR CLUB WITH A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION
To keep our club financially sustainable, we kindly ask you to consider making a voluntary tax-deductible donation through our Operating and Expansion Fund, hosted by the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF).
The true cost to the club per player is approximately $380 per season, covering essentials like training tops, playing jumpers, Thursday night meals for players, league fees, and equipment.
Your donation helps bridge the gap beyond our subsidised $125 registration fee, ensuring we can continue providing quality resources and opportunities for all players.
Donate now at our ASF fundraising page https://asf.org.au/campaigns/kinglake-junior-football-club/operation-and-expansion-fund. Every dollar makes a difference and is tax-deductible, supporting our mission to develop tomorrow’s community leaders.
WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Our $100 registration fee is kept low to make footy accessible, but it covers only a fraction of the $380 per-player cost. Your voluntary donation helps us maintain financial sustainability, providing:
• Quality equipment and uniforms, like training tops and jumpers.
• Free Thursday night meals to bring players together.
• An awesome club culture, which instills life skills through sport.
By registering and considering a donation, you’re investing in a thriving club that nurtures young athletes and strengthens our community—especially as we gear up for our groundbreaking U16 Girls team in 2026. Thank you for supporting the Lakers and helping us keep the footy spirit alive!
Please contact the club if you have any questions or need assistance.
