The Biggest in Our History
Season 2025 is shaping up to be the biggest on record for the Kinglake Junior Football Club- Four age groups, and our first Under 16s team in over a decade!
The build up to season 2025 is well under way. Pre-season training commenced in February and we’ve had strong participation in all age groups.
This season we have four teams- Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s and for the first time in more than 10 years, Under 16s. We also have Auskick for kids aged 4-7 which means for the first time ever we can cater for all ages 4-16.
There’s a great energy and feeling of camaraderie around the club, a real sense that we’re building something special. There are just a couple of spots left on each team, so please contact us ASAP if you’d like to join.
We’re pleased to announce that Jesse Hawkes will coach our Under 16s team. Jesse brings a wealth of football experience having played for the Bendigo Goldfields, MCDFL, and Central Queensland representative teams. Jesse has played under top coaches like Sean Millane and Shaun Smith and is ready to pass that knowledge on to the next generation of Lakers!
Planning is underway for a practice match with a nearby club before the season starts. Keep an eye on our Facebook page and your email for details when this is confirmed.
Training continues for the Under 16s team Wednesday nights at the Kinglake Football Ground, and Thursday nights for Under 9s, 11s and 13s at Kinglake West Reserve. Thursday night training will return to the Kinglake Football Ground once the cricket season is complete. Watch our social media and your email for updates.
Auskick will also run again this year for kids aged 4-7. If you are interested in your child joining in, please contact Rebecca on 0423 629 241 for more information.
